Frequently Asked Questions

  • What are internal air valves used for?

Internal air valves are used as the room-side ventilation terminal in a property. They can supply fresh air into living spaces and bedrooms or extract stale air from wet rooms such as bathrooms, kitchens and utility rooms.

  • What is the difference between a supply valve and an extract valve?

A supply valve delivers fresh air into a room, while an extract valve removes stale or humid air from a room. The correct type depends on the room and the ventilation system design.

  • Are discreet ceiling air valves available?

Yes, discreet ceiling air valves are available for projects where a more minimal finish is preferred. These can be useful in modern interiors where the visible ventilation finish is important.

  • Do air valves need to be adjusted or balanced?

Yes, air valves may need to be adjusted during system commissioning to achieve the correct airflow rates, helping the ventilation system perform as intended.

  • Can internal air valves be adjusted after installation without removal?

Many ventilation valves allow airflow adjustment at the valve face or centre cone. The exact adjustment method depends on the valve model.
